Staffing World had so much to offer in every aspect of the staffing industry. From breakout sessions focused on managing a top-performing sales team to advocating Women in Leadership Roles. Staffing World provided their attendees with the Strategies and Solutions to tackle the Industry’s biggest challenges. My time was spent mainly in the exhibit hall with our newest partner Flexible Support Group (more on this to come) where one can find a niche tool for almost every aspect of day-to-day business operations. I learned that this field of work requires a strict observance to, as well as an understanding of many necessary pieces to function properly along with maintaining compliance with a multitude of regulations in various areas around the World.

One of my biggest takeaways from Staffing World was from the first keynote speaker Jeremy Gutsche, who electrified the convention on its opening day. He had a lot of fantastic points, but the one that struck me the most was, businesses that become complacent and avoid risks because they are comfortable, tend to suffer the most deleterious consequences. An example he used was Blockbuster Video failing to acquire Netflix when they offered to sell and instead focused on what they knew which was renting videos in a storefront. They became too comfortable in their business approach, and the rest is history. However, this complacency doesn’t only affect businesses but individuals as well. When we become unconcerned with new ideas because we have something that works “well enough,” we overlook great opportunities to better ourselves. We should always have the drive to learn more and find new ways to expand our repertoire of skills and knowledge.

We, at, SmartSearch agree wholeheartedly for expanding our business ventures by providing our clients with the most advanced tools on the market to increase their productivity substantially. Our newest partnership with Flexible Support Group backs this message as we are committed to supporting companies of all sizes including start-ups, small businesses, and staffing firms, as they too deserve access to the best products and services.
