We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance and accounting team and contribute to the continued growth of our innovative company.

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and supporting various accounting functions within the organization. The individual in this role will play a crucial role in closing the books on a monthly basis and preparing account reconciliations. Moreover, this position requires a high level of expertise in accounting principles and standards, as well as being detail-oriented with a desire to continuously improve our accounting processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Revenue Recognition: Manage revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606.
  • Month-End/Year-End Close: Lead monthly and annual closing processes.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
  • Technology and Software Oversight: Ensure proper integration of financial data in systems.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve accounting processes and reporting.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to support financial planning.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Provide executive-level reporting as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with 2+ years in a senior or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and relevant standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and tax compliance.
  • Understanding of SaaS, subscriptions, and recurring revenue models.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to learning and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and cloud-based financial platforms.
  • Experience in a technology startup or private equity environment.
